Notification Preferences
BusyBook sends notifications through multiple channels. You control which channels are active, when notifications are sent, and how your AI assistant behaves.
Notification Channels
Section titled “Notification Channels”- Go to Settings > Preferences
- Under Notifications, toggle each channel on or off:
- Email — booking confirmations, reminders, and receipts
- SMS — text message notifications to you and your clients
- In-App — real-time notifications inside the BusyBook dashboard
- Click Save to apply
All three channels are independent — you can enable any combination.
AI Assistant Preferences
Section titled “AI Assistant Preferences”The Preferences page also controls how your AI assistant operates. Under the AI Assistant section:
Auto-Reply
Section titled “Auto-Reply”Toggle AI Auto-Reply on or off. When enabled, your assistant automatically responds to client messages. You can set a response delay (in seconds) to make replies feel more natural.
Persona & Tone
Section titled “Persona & Tone”- Persona Name — give your assistant a name (clients see this in conversations)
- Tone — choose between Warm, Professional, or Casual
Morning Briefings
Section titled “Morning Briefings”Enable Morning Brief to receive a daily summary of your upcoming appointments and business metrics. Set the time you’d like to receive it (default: 7:00 AM).
Automated Reports
Section titled “Automated Reports”Turn on Auto Reports to receive periodic business reports. Configure:
- Frequency — daily, weekly (Monday or Friday), or monthly
- Report types — Revenue Summary, Client Activity, Appointment Stats, Marketing Performance, Expense Breakdown
- Delivery — via email
Appointment Reminders
Section titled “Appointment Reminders”Control automatic reminder behavior from the Preferences page:
- Appointment Reminders — toggle on/off
- Reminder Timing — how many hours before the appointment to send (default: 24 hours)

Follow-Up Settings
Section titled “Follow-Up Settings”- Follow-Ups — toggle automatic post-session follow-ups on/off
- Follow-Up Delay — how many days after the session to send (default: 3 days)
Review Request Timing
Section titled “Review Request Timing”Set how long after a session to send a review request (default: 24 hours). This controls the delay before clients receive a message asking them to leave a Google or Yelp review.
After-Hours Settings
Section titled “After-Hours Settings”Under the After Hours section:
- Same-Day Notifications — get notified about same-day bookings even outside business hours
- Do Not Disturb — set a time after which you won’t receive non-urgent notifications (default: 9:00 PM)
- Existing Clients Only — when enabled, only messages from existing clients come through after hours
Do Not Contact List
Section titled “Do Not Contact List”Add specific client phone numbers to the Do Not Contact list to prevent automated messages from being sent to them. Search for clients by name and toggle them on or off.
Display Preferences
Section titled “Display Preferences”Also on the Preferences page:
- Theme — switch between Light and Dark mode
- Feedback Widget — show or hide the in-app feedback button
