Dashboard Overview

The Dashboard is the first screen you see when you log in to BusyBook. It gives you a personalized snapshot of your business based on your role. Navigate to it from the sidebar under Today > Overview.

The dashboard greets you by name with a time-appropriate message — “Good morning,” “Good afternoon,” or “Good evening” — followed by a summary line tailored to your selected persona.

BusyBook includes five built-in persona views, each showing the metrics most relevant to that role:

Each card on the dashboard shows a specific metric or data widget:

  • Revenue / Revenue Today — Total revenue for the period or today
  • Forecast — Projected revenue based on upcoming appointments
  • Booked — Number of appointments scheduled today
  • Schedule — Your upcoming appointments at a glance
  • Top Services — Your most-booked services
  • Top Clients — Your highest-value clients
  • Ratings — Client satisfaction scores
  • Signals — Alerts and notifications that need your attention (e.g., clients due for rebooking, upcoming birthdays)
  • Retention — Client return rates
  • Waitlist — Clients waiting for availability
  • No Shows — Recent no-show tracking
  • Heatmap — Booking density by day and hour
  • Inventory — Stock levels for retail products

  1. Click the Edit button to enter edit mode
  2. Remove cards you don’t need by clicking the X on each card
  3. Add cards by opening the card library drawer and selecting from all available widgets
  4. Rearrange cards by dragging and dropping them into your preferred order
  5. Reset to defaults to restore the original card layout for your persona

Your card layout is saved per persona and persists across sessions.

The “Ask Anything” pill at the top of the dashboard lets you ask questions about your business in natural language. It connects to the AI assistant so you can quickly get answers like “How much revenue did I make this week?” or “Who are my top 5 clients by visits?”
